Ellie McCollister

BA, CT
Counselor Trainee and Intern

Ellie is working on her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University and is expected to graduate in December 2023. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2014 with a degree in chemistry and a minor in religious studies. Ellie is a member of the Ohio Counseling Association and is under the supervision of Lynn King, MA, LPCC-S.

Ellie is passionate about incorporating multicultural values and each client’s unique strengths and resources into counseling. She has worked in Christian ministry with college students for nine years and can offer spiritual/religious-oriented therapy when requested. She hopes to provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to be deeply understood and pursue healing. Ellie uses a person-centered approach but draws from cognitive-behavioral, existential, and postmodern approaches as well.

When she isn’t working Ellie loves hanging out with her husband of eight years and their mischievous baby daughter. She loves listening to podcasts, stand-up comedy, reading nonfiction, and taking naps.
