Katy is currently working toward her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She is a 2020 graduate from the University of Toledo with a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is currently supervised by Lynn King, MA, LPCC-S, CCTP II.
Katy is a member of the Alpha Tau Sigma chapter of the Professional Honor Society for Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota. Katy desires for her clients to feel a sense of freedom that comes
with addressing and working through their mental health struggles. She values walking alongside her clients through their pain with the hope that they will experience relief. Developing
a healthy relationship with her clients where they feel seen and safe is of the utmost importance to Katy. She has a heart for people of all ages especially children, adolescents and young adults.
When not working, Katy finds enjoyment in working out, traveling, spending time with her husband and helping him renovate their home. She also loves spending an evening reading a
good book and cuddling up with her two cats. Katy’s faith and relationship with Christ comes first in her life and she works to have this reflected through the way she spends her time. She is
involved in different community groups and independent Bible studies.
Katy uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Person-Centered approach when working with
clients.
