Sydnie Johnson

MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor

Sydnie holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Ohio State university.  She has spent most of her educational years and career fascinated by people and mental health.  She is also a member of the American Counseling Association.
Sydnie helps treat a variety of mental health concerns.  Sydnie understands that a person’s emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are complex, and that some of our experiences in life or life circumstances can put these into disorder.  She became a clinical counselor so that she might help others competently and effectively gain tools to face these challenges.  She offers a safe and compassionate environment in which to explore the change and healing that people want to see in their lives.  Sydnie uses a variety of tools to help people and uses an integrated therapy approach that relies a lot on CBT and REBT.  She also believes that a biblical/spiritual approach to counseling is very effective and can apply this in therapy when requested.

Sydnie holds a minor in art and enjoys painting when she has the time, and she also loves exploring Columbus’s coffee scene!  When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and is actively involved in her church community.
