Sharon received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University and completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Sharon has experience as a Chemical Dependency Counselor at Columbus Public Health where she facilitated Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient treatment groups. She is currently working toward her Gambling Endorsement on 
her LICDC.

Sharon has attended Department of Transportation training to become qualified as a Substance Abuse Professional. She has also met the requirements to become a Master Addiction Counselor with the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals.

​Sharon has attended Level I Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy using Gottman Method Therapy in her work. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association, Ohio Counseling Association, 
Central Ohio Counseling Association, Problem Gambling Network of Ohio and the National Council on Problem Gambling.

 

Sharon recently joined the Board of Hold My Guns whose mission is to connect responsible firearm owners with voluntary, private off-site storage options, through a national network of partnering gun shops and FFLs, during times of mental health crisis or personal need. 


Sharon enjoys being involved in her local church where she has served as a Stephen Minister, Women's Ministry team member and lead Bible studies. She cherishes her relationship with the Lord and feels blessed to have many close relationships with family and friends as well as taking her call to the ministry of counseling very seriously.  She and her husband James enjoy many recreational activities together including sports, music and the arts. They also enjoy their involvement as volunteers with Ohio Shorthair Rescue.
