Counselor Trainee and Intern
Matt is a passionate and dedicated Counselor in Training. Matt obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2024 from the Ohio State University and is actively pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. He is currently working as a Counselor Trainee under the guidance and supervision of Sharon Williston-Benadum, LPCC-S.
Matt cares deeply about the beauty, complexity, and brokenness of human beings. He approaches individuals with the mindset that there is always more to know about them, and wants his clients to feel known, seen, heard, and safe. Matt is ultimately concerned with helping clients clarify, articulate, and pursue their own goals and values in life.

Matt and his wife serve as Younglife leaders at a local high school where he also coaches soccer. Some of his personal hobbies include sports (soccer, basketball, football, golf, and pickleball), running, reading, listening to podcasts, playing the guitar, and traveling.
