My Approach: Support with a "Nudge"
Matt cares deeply about the beauty, complexity, and brokenness of human beings. He approaches every individual with the mindset that there is always more to discover, striving to ensure his clients feel truly known, seen, and safe. Matt’s primary goal is to help clients clarify, articulate, and pursue their own values and goals.

In the therapy room, Matt balances empathy with a direct, growth-oriented style. He believes in the power of the "therapeutic nudge" - gently but firmly challenging clients to move past stagnation and toward the growth they desire. He works with adolescents and adults navigating a variety of challenges, with a focus on:
-
Athletes & High-Performing Individuals: Addressing performance anxiety, burnout, and identity beyond achievement.
-
Men’s Issues: Navigating modern masculinity, emotional health, and relational struggles.
-
Spiritual Integration: Supporting those looking to process spiritual issues, doubt, or vocational ministry.
-
Adolescent Development: Helping teens navigate the "noise" of high school, identity formation, and mental wellness.
Faith and Counseling
Matt has been a committed Christian for eight years. His relationship with Jesus has been transformative, ultimately inspiring his pursuit of a career in counseling. Because of this, he is highly comfortable integrating spiritual techniques and conversation into the process for those who desire it.
While Matt’s faith informs his worldview, he welcomes clients from all faith backgrounds, as well as those with no religious affiliation. He is strictly committed to the ethical mandates of his license and ensures that his personal beliefs are never imposed on his clients. His priority is to meet you exactly where you are.
About Matt
Matt brings a wealth of practical experience to his clinical role, having spent nearly four years working closely with high schoolers in a volunteer context. He and his wife serve as YoungLife leaders at a local high school, where he also serves as a soccer coach. These roles have given him a front-row seat to both the strengths and unique struggles of the next generation.
Outside of the office, Matt is an avid mover and learner. You can often find him on the soccer field, basketball court, or golf course - and like many, he has recently embraced the pickleball craze. When he isn’t running or playing sports, he enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with his friends.
