Counselor Trainee and Intern
Sarah is a counselor trainee who is currently finishing up her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Southern New Hampshire University. She is interning at Beacon Counseling Center under the supervision of Sharon Williston-Benadum (LPCC-S) and is licensed with the Ohio CSWMFT Board as a CT (Counselor Trainee). She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 2018.
Sarah is passionate about providing a warm, creative, and accepting space that meets the unique needs of each client on their healing journey. She uses Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) but also draws from Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) and spiritual direction.
Sarah enjoys hanging out with her husband and son, preferably outdoors. You can also find her hiking, gardening, and meandering around the thrift store.
